We break down company formation into manageable pieces. Each module tackles real situations you'll encounter when someone wants to register a business.
The basics that everything else builds on. Company types, shareholder structures, and how Australian business law actually works in practice.
The paperwork side that trips people up. You'll work through constitutions, shareholder agreements, and the records that companies must maintain.
Trusts confuse people more than anything else. This module walks through discretionary trusts, unit trusts, and when they make sense for clients.
What companies have to do each year and what happens when they don't. Annual reviews, changes of details, and dealing with ASIC properly.
Most of what you'll do involves working through real scenarios. We don't spend much time on theory without showing you where it applies.
Classes run twice weekly. Tuesday sessions cover new material. Thursday sessions work through case studies where you'll apply what you learned. Some people find the case work challenging at first, but that's the point.
You'll get access to templates we actually use. Not generic downloads, but documents that have been through multiple company formations.
Small groups meet to review that week's scenarios. Instructors float between groups answering questions about specific situations.
Every fortnight we break down a real company formation from start to finish. You'll see what worked, what didn't, and why certain decisions were made.
